It’s FINALLY fall everyone!
I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait until we really get the full fall experience. It is still around the mid eighties where I live, but that honestly isn’t stopping me from wearing some of my favorite wardrobe staple items for fall. While I may be sweating, I’m just really over summer. I’ve compiled three items that I think are must haves in your wardrobe for this fall. Plus, this might be a great time to start shopping for these items before everyone heads out to buy them!
My #1 Wardrobe Staple: Boots
Oh my goodness, I love boots. I wear them all year round, and have a seriously issue when it comes to stopping myself from buying them. I have tons of boots from last year that I really love, but this seems to be the year of the boot. This is great for adding a wardrobe staple into your fall style. There are so many amazing prints that are coming this season, and boots are an amazing way to incorporate those into your style. Animal print boots are kind of a passion of mine! I got these snake print ones from Holland + Liz which have been my go to shoe lately. They go with everything, are just edgy enough, and have a heel height that is manageable.

Additionally, there are some great fabrics coming out for this fall too. The bright orange corduroy boots are seriously incredible! They also were such a great price that there was no way I could pass them up. Another “fabric” that would be an amazing wardrobe statement is the faux-croc trend that is going on right now. I haven’t found any that I’m obsessed with yet, but my eyes are definitely looking around. Vinyl is also a really exciting trend right now. I’m pretty sure I had a pair of black vinyl boots when I was younger too.
Can you ever have enough jackets?
This is one area that I haven’t began purchasing for, but is definitely on my radar are amazing jackets! For me, nothing says fall or winter like a long jacket that makes a wardrobe staple. As most of you know, I’m incredibly into anything checked, plaid, or tartan. Whatever you call it, you can sign me up for it! Another huge trend is faux fur! This is something that I have loved since I was younger. I blame this on my desperation to be a bear when I was a little tot. There are some really amazing coats already in stores, and I cannot wait to see what else rolls out this fall.

I don’t think I can even leave this category without mentioning blazers, right? If you ask anyone that knows me in real life, they will let you know about my intense blazer collection that doesn’t seem to be stopping. Blazers are the best way to dress up an outfit, but are also great alternatives to heavier jackets in these warmer months. Blazers are also a great way to make a wardrobe staple as well. This year they are coming out with some really exciting patterns and colors!
Jeans can be the ultimate wardrobe staple!
I’m such a denim girl that I’m shocked I don’t have more jeans, honestly. Even though jeans are a staple in everyone’s wardrobe, you can still use them to make a wardrobe staple. With the whole seventies trend happening, there are some really fun jeans coming out, and I’m legitimately pumped! The whole flare trend was something that I was actually unsure about, but after finally breaking down and purchasing a pair, I’m full on obsessed. I’ve definitely got some curves, and I like that this kind of balances out my lower half. Additionally, the distressed straight leg trend is not going anywhere, and this is probably my favorite denim trend over the past few years!

If jeans aren’t your thing, you can totally find some great pants right now. I’ve been dying over snake print trousers, but just am not sure that I could pull them off. I’ve seen a few options on my favorite bloggers/Instagrammers, and they look incredible. You can also totally just do striped pants as a wardrobe statement which are great as well! An honorable mention is an amazing pant suit too. I love them so much, and they are great for the cooler months!
What are you excited to wear this fall?
