What is so hype about the Beautyblender Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundation?!
If you have been living under a rock, then you may not know about the newest foundation on the market. The Beautyblender Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundation has been the discussion of new formulas, and controversy as well. I’ll go ahead and say that the shade range basically sucks for this product. If yo u have seen the range, you know exactly what I am talking about. The lack of diversity is seriously an issue. Especially since it was designed by a Latina. Apparently there are more colors, but due to the retail displays they had to cut it down. Here is my question, if that is they case, why were the other colors not available online? At the end of the day, there is nothing that any of us can really do about the shade range, so let’s move on.
The Beautyblender Bounce Liquid Whip is the first makeup product from Beautyblender. The container is unique to the Beautyblender tool, and is actually made to work with the product. On the front of the container, there is a shape that is similar to a Beautyblender. To be honest, I don’t use that to apply my product to my tool at all. I can’t really measure the cleanliness of that surface, and that just freaks me out. There is the possibility to lock the product as well since it is a pump. While this is great, it is not something that I found super necessary to the product. I travel quite often, so it is something I can appreciate.
It’s all about what is inside, right?!
Basically, I had to try this out from all of the hype about it online. Matter of fact, when I went to order this off of Sephora, I had to wait quite a while for it to even be in stock! So I guess the hype is real! This foundation is seriously full coverage. I can hide pretty much anything that is on my face, and it’s amazing. For being incredibly full coverage, the Beautyblender Bounce Liquid Whip is super light on your skin. The formula is almost mousse-like, but not the the extent of that Maybelline Mousse disaster I tried a few years ago. It has an amazing finish on the skin! This finish is almost like a velvet texture, and not completely matte. There is a slight glow, but nothing that I would say is going to give you a glow.
This is designed to use with the Beautyblender. Since Beautyblenders are designed to mimic the skins natural texture, this foundation looks pretty much like your skin. Obviously you are going to be wearing makeup, but even up close it looks pretty good. This can attach to the small hairs that we all have on our faces, but most foundations do that as well. While I do recommend this foundation, and I’m hoping that the shade range gets expanded soon. I want everyone who wants to try a product to be able to find something that works for them. This is sold exclusively at Sephora and is around $40 bucks.
