I recently reviewed the traditional rubber masks from Dr. Jart+, and I am pretty happy to be bringing these to you. Unlike their sisters, these are not sheet masks. These are a fun concept on the ever popular rubber mask trend. Keep reading to find out more about the Dr. Jart+ Shake & Shot Rubber Mask.
Dr. Jart+ Shake & Shot Rubber Mask
We have been on a face mask journey over here! I was slightly hesitant about this mask since I am such a fan of sheet masks, but my mind was changed. After getting some amazing results from the Bright Lover mask, I though it was worth a try. The packaging of this product is pretty wild, but really awesome! It comes in what looks like a slushy cup, which makes it really identifiable at the store. The lid has this crazy baby face, which makes it slightly odd, but who cares! Inside, you can find two packets which you actually combine to form the mask.
The first packet contains the booster gel. This has violet extract, aloe vera, grapefruit, and retinol. Together, these combine to moisturize, soothe, brighten, and tighten your skin. The next is the liquid ampoule which is what brings the mask together. After you remove the spatula from the top of the lid, add the packets, place the lid on, and shake for a little bit. Don’t forget to place your finger over the hole on the lid! After this is combined, you can begin to apply it.Make sure that you apply this mask in one to two minutes after you combine it. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and then slowly peel it off.
Is it a must have?
It is $12 for one mask. Personally, I had a ton of product left over which was not ideal. Maybe I have a small face, I’m not quite sure. There was plenty of product on my face! This is not the most expensive mask that I have tried by any means, and I do think that it made a difference after one use. My skin felt soft as soon as I took it off, and had a great glow to it as well. I’ve tried the Hydro and the Firming mask with great results from both. The Dr. Jart+ Shake & Shot Rubber Mask comes in four different varieties. Including the two that I just mentioned, there are also masks that focus on soothing and brightening.

Is the cup packaging maybe a gimmick? Yes, but it is pretty cute and fun. I am a massive fan of niacinamide, and my skin seems to like it too. My skin can be on the sensitive side at times, and I have not had any reactions to this product at all. I picked mine up at Sephora, but there are other retailers out there too!
