I really love a good sheet mask. Not only do I find them to be a little luxury during the day, but they also actually help your skin! On a recent Target trip, I stumbled across the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Masks. To be real with you, drugstore sheet masks kind of freaked me out. I was unsure about the ingredients, the quality, and if they would or would not break my skin out. After not only using these at home, but also traveling with them, it’s time to talk.
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Masks
I’ll be honest with you, these were not on my radar. I was wandering around the beauty section of Target, and thought, “Hey, I haven’t tried these”. Naturally, I felt the overwhelming need to pick up three. Considering that these are about $3 a pop, I felt like it was decent enough to try a wide variety. Something that is interesting about these sheet masks is that they are a water based mask. I know, a moisturizing mask that is water based, groundbreaking. These also feature half a bottle of serum per mask, and provide up to twenty-four hours of moisture. While I don’t think that these masks feature excessive serum, I do think that there is enough to justify it.
What I really love about theses masks is the actual mask itself. It is this decently thick cotton fiber mask which is not easy to rip. It also features no mineral oil, or petroleum. Oh! The most important part of this are an attribute of the mask. I have no idea what else to call these but….ear holes? Basically, part of the mask has a cut out section that fit around your ear. This helps the mask stay on your face, which is something that I have had issues with in the past. If you are one of my small face ladies, then you know the importance of this!
What is my final verdict?
I think these are definitely worth the price tag. I really loved the pink mask with sakura in it. It left my skin with a great glow, and cherry blossom is usually great for my skin. Further than that, I am not quite sure that the masks do anything differently. If you are looking for an affordable sheet mask, then I recommend them. I also tried the green tea mask which is meant to ratify, and the pomegranate mask which is meant to hydrate the skin. There are more options available, but those are the ones that I saw at my local store.
In all reality, I think that there are better face masks out there than the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Masks. Not only are those others affordable if you buy them from Amazon or such, but the ingredients do more. At least, they did more for me. I cannot knock the great feeling that these masks leave, but if you are looking for a holy grail mask, this might not be the right one for you. I’m on a sheet mask kick right now, so be sure to head to the beauty section of the blog to read up on what I have loved, and what was just okay.
