Ever since L’Oreal discontinued my favorite cleanser of all time, I have been struggling to find something that works for me. If something is too gentle, it can cause build up on my skin. On the other hand, if something is too harsh, it can cause more irritation. I’ve heard some pretty great things about the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. Not only has Glossier been everywhere, but they are a brand that I have found a love for. So, in my hunt for a new cleanser, I gave into the hype. Keep reading to see what happened.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
I’m not going to lie to you. I was pretty anxious about trying this out. Like I mentioned, I do need some sort of exfoliation to even be able to live with my skin. Am I being dramatic? Quite possibly. What really scared me about this cleanser is the emphasis on how gentle it was. After using this for a while, I can honestly say that it has been great on my skin. It really cleans my skin, and leaves it feeling amazing. I do use an exfoliator, but if that is not a necessity for you, try it out! It removes my makeup pretty well, but I do have to use another product for waterproof makeup.
Want to know why it is so gentle? It contains the same cleansers as contact lense solution! The Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser is also pH balanced, and contains five skin conditioners. Although it will take the dirt off of your face, it doesn’t burn your eyes, and that is something that I can really get behind! I also feel like the Glossier brand has been amazing for my skin. Not only does my makeup always look great when I wear it, but it leaves it feeling great when I take it off too.

So, what’s in it?
As I mentioned, it contains some incredibly gentle cleansers. I deal with dry skin all year round, and this cleanser does not leave me desperate for a moisturizer. While I kind of love that feeling of being stripped of anything that could break me out, I know that is not good for me. The cleanser contains rosewater which is really is super soothing on your skin. If you are dealing with windburn, sunburn, or things of the sort, this can take the pressure off. Comfort root helps to heal our dry and stressed skin. If you are wondering about how skin can be stressed, trust me, it can. It also contains aquaxyl which helps to refill the water in our skin. Hello hydration, am I right? Aquaxyl also helps to improve our skin’s natural barriers to prevent any dehydration.
Another great thing about this is that the top of the cleanser locks! As someone who travels a lot, this is super important to me. I don’t always put my items into travel size containers. I know, a travel faux pas! If you are not one for scented products, then this kind of is on the fence. There is not added fragrances, but the ingredients give it a slight rose smell. Personally, I wish everything smelled like roses, so it is not offensive to me at all. The packaging is that gorgeous Glossier pink, and that is definitely a positive!
