MILK MAKEUP is one of those brands that I have seen all over the place, but just never tried. While I was strolling Sephora with my friend Lanise from TheCorporateFrugal, I picked it up. Since I am constantly on the search for a mascara that does everything that I want, how does the MILK MAKEUP KUSH High Volume Mascara live up to my standards? Keep reading to find out!
MILK MAKEUP KUSH High Volume Mascara
Alright, I’ll go ahead and get my dumb moment out of the way! When I read the name MILK MAKEUP KUSH High Volume Mascara, the idea of it revolving around CBD did not even ring a bell. Personally, that culture does not bother me whatsoever. Does it influence my purchase decision? Also no. MILK MAKEUP is the first brand to use CBD in any mascara. The CBD in this mascara helps to condition the lashes, and makes the formulation creamy and comfortable to wear. The reason that they use it is because it is a vegan alternative to beeswax, which personally I think is amazing.
Another feature of this mascara is the unique shaped brush. It is heart-shaped which helps to enhance the fullness of the lashes, along with helping to curl the lashes. The end of the brush is tapered so it is easy to get into those hard to reach lashes. I find that I need to apply multiple coats to get the full benefits of this mascara, but when I do, it is incredible. I haven’t experienced any clumping with this mascara either, which is something that I deal with a lot.
Is it a must have?
Like I mentioned, the MILK MAKEUP KUSH High Volume Mascara does need a process to apply it. If I wear this for over about eight hours, I do notice that it transfers underneath my eye. I don’t typically wear mascara for that long since I work from home, but that is something to think about if you need your makeup to last longer. I adore the fact that this product is not only vegan friendly, but cruelty-free as well. It is incredibly easy to remove compared to other mascaras I have been using lately, and actually leaves my lashes feeling softer than before, which is great.
This does only come in one shade, so if you don’t love black mascara, this may not be the one for you right now. It’s been one of my favorite higher-end mascaras that I have tried, and even with the few not-so-great aspects, the result I get is worth it. It definitely makes me more likely to purchase MILK MAKEUP in the future, and actually, I have purchased some new products to try out too!
