Summer Fridays is taking us into overtime with their new mask!

Summer Fridays Overtime Mask

After the crazy hype over the Jet Lag Mask, Summer Fridays is back with another mask! The Summer Fridays Overtime Mask has hit stores, and as you can imagine, I jumped at it. The Jet Lag Mask was legit one of my favorite products that I have tried in years, and probably the best mask that I have ever tried! I also really enjoy that the brand is made by bloggers, and they put tons of effort into their products. Additionally, they know the importance of packaging in today’s world, so they are great!

The Summer Fridays Overtime Mask is actually an exfoliating mask which compliments their other mask. I used to be obsessed with exfoliating, but have fallen out of that trend to give my skin a break. So, trying a new exfoliator is really exciting. This mask came just in time for fall too! It uses pumpkin to exfoliate and hydrate, so it basically smells like a PSL. Combine that with the peachy packaging, and you have a fall skincare Instagram post waiting to happen.

Does it live up to the brand hype?

I’ve used a pumpkin enzyme exfoliating mask in the past, and had some wild results with it. Luckily for the Summer Fridays Overtime Mask, I have been having great results! This is incredible gentle, but it does actually feel like it exfoliates your skin. It uses exfoliating apricot seed powder to gently take away your dull or congested skin to get your glow back. It also contains oat kernel protein which acts as an anti-irritant, and and anti-inflammatory to really keep your skin soothed and calm. You can also find vitamins A, K, C, and E which are all great to have in your skincare.

I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin scented anything, but this is really nice and subtle. While I know that it has pumpkin in it, I don’t feel like I could be an extra in Charlie Brown. Unlike the Jet Lag Mask, you spend about sixty seconds massaging this into your skin, and then you wash it off after ten minutes. Like I mentioned, the actual exfoliating property of this mask is incredibly gentle, but my skin feels smoother after I use it. There has been zero irritation with my skin, and I love to follow it up with my beloved Jet Lag Mask.

Overall thoughts…

If you are looking for something to exfoliate with, but have sensitive skin, try this. Also, if you loved their previous product, then I think you will find this to be a great partner for an amazing skincare routine. It also is cruelty free, and certified clean at Sephora! You get 2.25 fluid ounces of product for $44.00. These tubes last you quite a long time, and I’m still on my first JLM, and I use it weekly! If you’re a fellow mask enthusiast, this is not one to pass up!
