A curly haired girl’s best friend, Ouai Air Dry Foam

Ouai Air Dry Foam

When it comes to hair products, I typically just use a serum and hope for the best. I heard one of my favorite youtubers, Ashley Brooke talking about the Ouai Air Dry Foam. Since she and I have pretty similar hair texture, I thought, “What do I have to lose?!”. I’ll give you a quick insight on how my hair typically is. It is insanely dry at all times, even if I use the best serum, my hair just drinks it up straight away. I also struggle severely with tangles, even when I brush it, and it typically triples in size by the time it dries up. The Ouai Air Dry Foam actually encourages the natural texture of your hair. Ouai states that this product is for those of us with curly or wavy hair, so it isn’t too great for my straight hair ladies.

Not only does it help your waves or curls, but it also creates more consistent texture throughout your hair. This is something I seriously struggle with. Parts of my hair are full on Annie curls, and some are incredibly straight. The Ouai Air Dry Foam is different from gel products because this makes your hair softer, fights frizz, and defines your hair. It even has Kale that helps add texture! While I’m thinking about it, the smell of this is killer. If everything had this scent, I would be a happy camper.

That’s cool Ash, but does it actually work?

No one was more shocked than I was after using this product. I’ve always had serious problems wearing my hair natural because, to be honest, it looked AWFUL! This product actually allows me to wear my natural hair, and feel confident when I do which is crazy to me. All of the points that this claims are 100% true, which made me so happy. Even when I slept on it, my hair still had the same definition and feeling as it did the day before. I only feel the need to straighten my hair if I actually want to, and not just because I’m leaving my house. It’s almost like my hair has been given a new life!

To use the product, you add 1-3 pumps after your hair has been towel dried. After that, you just let it dry. I’ll also spritz my hair and reapply if I am feeling like my curls are becoming frizzy or less defined as the week goes. That’s actually what I did here! As someone who is pretty low maintenance at all times, this is about the amount of effort that I want to put into something. If you have an unruly texture to your hair, then this definitely is something to try. It is $28 bucks, and to me, that is worth it. Pretty much anything to help me reduce the amount of damage I do to my hair is great.

I love how it makes your hair look! I also have naturally wavy hair, but because of continuously dyeing it (not gonna stop though hahah), it lost its natural curl. I’ll happily give it a try if it has a chance of bringing my curls back to life

Mine lost most of its’ curl because I have been using a flat iron on it for so long! I’ve been working on giving my hair a little more life!
